In this session you will explore:
• Introduction to Indian Classical Music – understanding the origin of sound, the significance of the Om vibration, warm-up practices for the voice, and knowledge about musical octaves
• Sargam – learning how to sing musical notes clearly and sustainably
• Introduction to Thaats, Raags and Bandish – the foundational framework of Indian classical music
• Final practice – simple Alankaar singing (melodic exercises)
